You Like Chick Flicks? Why Wouldn't You?

I don’t care what anyone think but chick flicks are just so amazing. Of course not all of them. I noticed a raised eyebrow when somebody asks me “You really like those soppy and unrealistic movie and books?” and I’m like hell yeah.

Why wouldn’t I? Or anybody else. I’m not a fan of zombies and paranormal activities movies but I’m not all judgmental. There is so many positive things about chick flicks and they are commonly neglected.

THEY ARE EMERGENCY EXIT
Sometimes when you deal with lot of crap on daily bases the last things you want to do is to go home and think about it the whole night. Chick flicks are the perfect savior as they put your mind of the real life problems and you start to worry about Kat and will she stop hating Patrick or is Allie going to choose Noah. For those hour and a half you stop worrying about your problems. It kind of gives you some time to charge the batteries and deal with your life obstacles.

YOU CAN LEARN A THING OR TWO
Yes, you can. It teaches you how to realize what you are worth and what kind of behavior you don’t want around you. You can learn how to be better at communication and about opposite sex.  Also you can learn how to not act and that karma really is a b*tch and that sometimes your instinct is right. It also can prepare you for different situations you might get into one day which is always a great thing.

WHY NOT
If you like it you like it. There is no need to justify yourself to anyone. Just because somebody thinks that they are shallow or unrealistic that’s their opinion and they don’t need to watch it. Don’t let them take from you the joy of snuggling into your bed with cup of hot chocolate and a good old chick flick. Book or movie it doesn’t matter. I’ve been a big fan of chick flick for as long as I can remember and I still am. They helped me get through some emotional things.
