Benefits of Propolis and Why You Need To Start Using It



Propolis is a product that I haven’t seen a lot of bloggers or any other websites talk about. It’s used in traditional medicine and it has a lot of benefits that not a lot of people know about. Another name for propolis is bee glue as bee’s use it to seal unwanted open spaces in the hive. Propolis can be used in its natural state or as an extract, ointment, cream, etc. I’m going to share with you just a few of amazing benefits it has for your overall health if you start using it. 


It would be the best if you could buy propolis from smaller beekeepers as they probably have the best quality. My father is a beekeeper so I know that the propolis I’m using is 100% natural and healthy. You can find them in pharmacies or organic stores as well but read the ingredients to see if they added any chemicals into it. It would be the best to start using it slowly so that you are sure that it doesn’t have and contra effects as we all have different bodies and it reacts differently. Contact your doctor to see if it’s okay for you to safely use it.


BOOST IMMUNE SYSTEM 
If I had to give you just one reason why I think you should start using propolis, then this would definitely be it. Our body is such an interesting mechanism. We all have different immune system and the way our body react to external causes. While other may get sick very rarely, others can catch a cold or flu so easily. It all depends on how strong our immune system is. Immune system is what defends our body from infectious organisms that cause different diseases. Propolis is what helps your whole body to get stronger and more efficient in this fight against viruses and bacteria. 

The easiest way to consume it is to put a few drops in your tea. I don’t recommend using it on its own as it has quite a strong taste. When you mix it with a tea it’s much more enjoyable. As it is a natural medicine you can use it every day, but of course you shouldn’t overuse it. I think that you should use it throughout the whole year but especially in the winter where there is a bigger chance of getting sick. Another very important benefit of propolis is that scientist proved that it has anticancer effect which is nowadays very good to know. 

HELPS YOUR SKIN 
As amazing as it is with helping your body from the inside it can help your body from the outside as well. I’m sure that most of you had some kind of skin problem, I for sure had a few of them. Propolis is what helped me get rid of them. If you have any kind of smaller scar or wound then you should try to put a little bit of propolis on it. In this case it would be better to use propolis ointment. You can also use it for a lot of different skin diseases. If you suffer from acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, fungus diseases of the skin propels can help you sooth the affected area or even get rid of the cause. 

I recently suffered from wart on my finger and used propolis for few days and it completely vanished. If you spend a lot of time in the kitchen and sometimes get a burns keep propolis ointment near as it’s great at soothing the burnt area. I recommend you to ask your doctor if it’s okay to use propolis on your skin and in which form as we all have different skin type and our skin react to different products in a different ways. 

MOUTH PROBLEMS 
For those of you who have teeth problems and aren’t that excited about the thought of going to dentist then I might have the best medicine for you. Tooth ache may be one of the worst pains a person can experience. I had it more than twice and propolis was a real savior. It helps to prevent tooth ache or at least make it less painful. You can use it as a spray as it’s the easiest way for it to get in your whole oral cavity. It also helps if you have a bad breath as it gets rid of the bacteria that make your breath smell bad. 

If you start to feel like you may get laryngitis then try to put few drops of propolis on a sugar cube and let it melt on your tongue. Sugar will make it much more pleasant to consume. You can also put few drops in a tablespoon of honey as will have a better effect. If you make it a routine and set a time when you’re going to consume you’ll see the results very fast. I definitely think that it’s better to first try and use natural medicine and if it doesn’t help then go see the doctor for a prescribed medicine.
